Overview / Purpose of the Role:

Lead overall Plan and Launch of Customer Operations and Network Operations also support subsequent new service delivery readiness, Customer integrations, Capacity and geography expansions and new product launches

The planning and launch function will manage the continual process of onboarding these customers, as well as delivery readiness for the planned network expansion into new global locations.  Accountable for end to end service delivery capability ramp up and operational delivery readiness for a multi country global network deployment for an IoT Connectivity Enablement Managed Service, ensuring successful launch of new service delivery and ongoing operational delivery and performance to multiple customers across a global footprint

Leading all operational planning and ramp up activity for Customer and Service Operations to provide IoT Connectivity Enablement as a service across for a global service offering

Being a leading member of the program team, supporting all other functions to ensure service Launch to required timeframe

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with Design and Build team and architects, accountable for building strategy and roadmap and project plan for service ramp up and delivery launch
  • Support design of IOT service delivery network with focus on ensuring deployment and integration methodologies are robust and operations solutions correctly scaled
  • Manage deployment and ramp up of service delivery capability and associated people process and tools across multiple global locations
  • Manage Transfer to operations and live service commencement to time and to cost across multiple global locations
  • Ensure processes and tools are in place to manage capacity and performance of network and services once live
  • Accountable for all Operation and Maintenance and Support activity readiness  in build, deployment and Delivery phase.
  • Accountable for service acceptance, network stability and performance on a hosted multi-site deployment
  • Ensure partner eco system and 3rd Party SLA’s are in place and management processes and governance are developed and agreed  
  • Accountable for all aspects including OSS / BSS Billing and service delivery components of overall solution as well as Network and customer integration
  • Responsible for customer delivery ramp up and establishment of Customer Service Operations
  • Responsible for service delivery quality, contractual service delivery, SLA’s and KPI’s for end to end service on launch

Experience Required

  • Experience in managing successful transfer to operations and ramp up of Network and Customer service delivery activities across multiple sites for a global network
  • Experience as a leader of operations and support functions in a global organization
  • Have deep operations experience in managing mobile networks, especially core networks for IoT for large scale multiple customer delivery
  • Have extensive operations experience in Intelligent Network, Network Management System and Packet Core solutions
  • Experience of managing hosted and cloud environments and 3rd party solutions
  • Experience in IOT and  customer delivery on a global scale for multiple customers

Educational Requirement:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject, backed by extensive industry experience in the required discipline
